Crocheting for...............

So, I think we've decided what we are going to sell...........

And I think we've decided what we're going to put the money towards..........

Selling: For now..... Scarves!!! And Hats!!! I can make a mean scarf.... pics to follow! I've decided to sell them for just $9. You can pick any color/mix of colors. I made one by mixing white and royal blue, and it looks pretty sweet! I'll show you that pic (hopefully tomorrow). I've also started a gray and navy one. That looks even sweeter, and *I think* can be a uni-gender scarf! It might take me a few days to finish it up though.

What It's For: I'm pretty sure we've decided to use the money to send Care Packages to troops overseas. We want to send goodies and letters to people that may otherwise never get something in the mail while they're serving our country. I know that there are many people that don't support the war.... However, it's SOOOOOOOO IMPORTANT to SUPPORT OUR TROOPS!!! They're putting themselves on the line for US every day for however long that they have to be away from their friends and families.

So, we do this for them. For all of the men and women across the world that willingly put themselves in harm's way so that we can be FREE............

To those of you that are serving or have ever served or are even considering serving..... THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART!!!

A lovely update for you!

Helloooooooooooo lovelies!

Couple things.... I will be away from now until Monday night. So I won't be able to post anything over the weekend. I'll be in Maine visiting the pictures below..... :)

These pics below show you some of my amazing family that I can't wait to see in Maine!

My nephews - Landon (gonna be 3 yrs. old) and Noah (just turned 1 yrs. old!)

And my sister Kim and the B.I.L. Nate! :) They're such an adorable family!

Also, i'm just throwing this out there...... but me and my roomie (Char) have decided to start a little mini business. We have started to crochet like crazy... partly because we're lame old ladies and partly because we're bored. :) Sooooo... we've decided to start a little business selling our crocheted masterpieces. Anddddd..... we're going to be donating parts of each sale to a charity (which we have yet to figure out which one yet). I'm thinking, maybe we do a different charity each month, or something like that. What do ya'll think? I'll post the link once we figure out all of the details!

Have a great weekend peeps! :)

Horray for me.......... I'm 23! :)

So lovelies, I apologize for the lack of posting this weekend! It's actually my bday today! I'm officially the pointless 23! :) So, I got the chance to hang out with some awesome friends this weekend in Philly! That was fab! Outfit pics to come....

Other than that.........
I am going to strive to make this 23rd year of my life even better than the last 22!
I will rely on God more.
I will tell people how much I love them as much as possible.
I will go after EVERYTHING that I want to achieve, no matter what may stand in my way.
I will be kinder to people.
I will try to show love in everything that I do.
I will cook more often.
I will try to be a role model.
I will sing more often, dance more often, laugh more often.
I will see the good in everything.
I will understand that things don't always work out the way you want them to, but they always work out the way they're ultimately supposed to.
I will be a better person.
I will be less judgmental and more forgiving.

Thank you to all of you who have been a part of my life at all in the past 22/23 years! I love and appreciate you all! You will never know the kind of influence you have had! <3 <3 <3

Outfit Deets:
Cream Pea coat - Azura Boutique on sale $30!
Grey long sleeve v-neck - F21 $4.50
Black strapless jerzee dress worn as skirt - Bonton $9
Brown belt - F21
Gray knee high socks - F21 $5.50 for 2 pairs?

I love these socks....... they're amazing! And I probably would've never paired these like this if not for the fabulous fashion bloggers that post their amazing outfits everyday! :)

Without the coat.......... I kind of love it!

Last but not least.... the infamous "Fixing my socks" pose. :) haha... Today is filled with the usual work 9-5, and then I have a powder puff football game to attend (unfortunately not play in) for work purposes. I, luckily, only have to stay until halftime! After that, it will probably be movie night with the roomie.... My life is so fabulous, I can barely take it! ;)

I leave you with an original thought today... instead of a movie quote.....

"......when you're wondering why certain things are happening... and you wonder how you got to where you are... you have to just look up. God brings things into your life sometimes to try and test you... but ultimately to make you a better person. He is all-knowing, all-powerful, and WILL give you the desires of your heart."

Helloooooooo all! I hope you all had a fabulous weekend! This outfit post is technically from yesterday. Sooo.... I was supposed to have a Clothing Swap yesterday.... however, everyone was scheduled to work last minute blah blah blah! So it was officially postponed. I'm not sure of the exact date yet, but I want to MAKE SURE everyone can come. So, instead of the Clothing Swap... me and some of my besties went to Iron Hill Brewery (love that place). We enjoyed fab martinis and then had an impromptu photo shoot on this awesome old rusty bridge! I'll try to get outfit photos from today later on.....

So, until then........ What's your favorite fall fashion trend that you're dying to try???

"At'll do piggy.......... at'll do............"

Black is the new black...........

Outfit deets:
Black fabulous long-sleeve jerzee dress *a.k.a. awesome* - Ross (last night) $14
Tights - F21
Brown belt with butterfly - Aeropastle (a million yrs ago) $5
Ankle booties - same from before $22

Well hellooooooo lovelies! Here is my outfit for today. I'm not gonna lie, it's UBER comfortable! Also, I know you're asking...... did she dye her hair red?? Umm... no..... at least, I didn't think so. The only thing I can think of is that I was visited by a Leprachaun in my sleep and that's kinda how it happened. Or my Ginger *red headed* bf decided that I should be a ginger too....... We can't all be gingers. For real though, I have no idea why my hair looks crazy red in these pics. It is straightened *kind of* for once. Usually you all see the curls out in all of their glory.... Today... you see the semi straight hair... It's a privilege. Ya'll should really know that. :)

Ok next question for all of you lovelies out there......... I just bought a pair of gray harem pants that were on clearance at F21 for like $5. How could I not get them???? Issue: They are like a sweatpant material... they're high-waisted (which I actually love high-waisted things). So my question to all of you fashionistas out there........ How can I wear them?? I need a work appropriate look *if that's possible*. I think that I might be able to come up with a night/weekend look, but that has yet to be seen. So, let me hear your thoughts!!!

"............ and in the morning........ I'm MAKING WAFFLES!!!"

October 7, 2009

I feel like a school girl!!! :)

Outfit deets:
Sweater Dress - Gabriel Brothers $12
White Button Down - Rave (a million yrs. ago) $4
Brown Suede Boots - Charlotte Russe $17
Romeo the cat - Comes with the outfit..... haha

So today consisted of the usual..... Work..... Shocking, i know! :) I bought this sweater dress from Gabriel Brothers (if anyone knows what that is...) about 6 months ago. I had no idea what to wear with it/under it until last night I got inspired. Originally I was going to wear some sort of color underneath, but I couldn't find a color that looked quite right. The sweater dress is like an ivory/beige and the stripes are navy. So, instead of adding color underneath... I decided to go with bright turquoise earrings and brown suede boots. I kind of loved it after it was all together. It kinda brings me back and makes me feel young. :) In about 2 wks, I'll be turning 23.... so I decided today was my throw-back!

Oh anddddd I went to Ross tonight (because I absolutely love that place), and I purchased some amazing things which you will have to wait and see!! That's all for now lovelies!

"Hurrrrrrrrrrrrrrry uppppp anddddd buyyyyyyyyyyyyyy"

October 6, 2009

You ask us if we're cool enough to do something like this....... we say Heck Yes We Are!

Sooooo today's post is more from last night..... I get home from work and Char's already home *probably reading or something*.... So I'm thinking, what can we do tonight?? Well, I thought... why not do another photo shoot?? You may ask yourself.... is this what people do in Amish country when they're bored?? And the answer is...... if they're as cool as us they do! So, we go out to our lovely rooftop... where the sky is awesome... and the roof is caving in..... *ah the memories*..... And these are some of the photos from it!

*The lovely roommate Char*

*Me! Outfit deets: Charlotte Russe sweater dress $15, Forever21 belt $5, Cream leggings (don't remember where they're from, but i love them), and brown Jessica Simpson gladiators thrifted for $14.95.... I love fall.

This is my "I'm pretending to be a model pose". haha.... I entered this in this contest. Do you think it could win?? I dunno.... but it would be super fun if I did!!

Below are some of the photos from our last photoshoot....... Plaid Perfection?? :) lol

"You take a look at her. Cause once you step on that bus you aint got your mama no more. You got your brothers on the team and you got your daddy. You know who your daddy is, doncha? Gary, if you want to play on this football team, you answer me when I ask you who is your daddy? Who's your daddy, Gary? Who's your daddy?"

I Figured It out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OK... so I apologize for my lack of outfit posts every day butttttt... here was my dilemma. All of these cutesy fashion bloggers get these pics in all these fun locations. Problems for me?? It has to be a self-portrait because there's nobody to take the picture.... and the other problem is that I (and this might be an excuse but) don't feel like there is enough time in the day to go find a location before or after work to take my picture. Therein lies the problem. However........ I think I have discovered a solution! Despite the fact that it is not the most visually appealing space, I have figured out how to take pictures without adding extra time to my day (because that's just
not possible). :)

These pictures are in the yoga studio that is right next to my office. It's got flavor and pizzazz (a.k.a. lavender wooden walls)... and my clients' banners all over the floor. There used to be a yoga studio... and now it is our storage "closet" because they moved out. There are nice little windows that I can use to take these lil' self-portraits. And, on the wall behind me it says, "Make Love Not War". That may not be my philosophy... but it sure adds at least a little something to the photo? Perhaps....

Outfit Deets:
Gray Button in the back Sweater - Target $17
Neclace - Forever21 Gift
Black Pencil Skirt - Bitten by Sarah Jessica Parker (from Steve & Barry's) $6
Black Dual Pattern Tights - Forever21 $4
Tan Suede Booties :) - Forever21 $22
Banners strewn all about the floor - Priceless...........

Also, if any experienced bloggers read this site.... I NEED YOUR HELP! I want my site to be frickin' sweet like ya'lls site. So, alot of you have sweet sweet headers that are at the top of your blogs. How do I create/use/make shift one of those and have it on my site. Currently, my site is blah....... and I want it to be...... dare I say....... Fabulous? Thanks for your help lovely ladies!

And because I'm feeling sappy......

"So it's not gonna be easy. It's gonna be really hard. We're gonna have to work at this every day, but I want to do that because I want you. I want all of you, for ever, you and me, every day. Will you do something for me, please? Just picture your life for me? 30 years from now, 40 years from now? What's it look like? If it's with him, go. Go! I lost you once, I think I can do it again. If I thought that's what you really wanted. But don't you take the easy way out."
